Dada tamil movie review

Dada, written by Ganesh K Babu and produced by Ambeth Kumar, is a sweet feel-good romantic comedy that manages to engage the audience despite some initial hiccups. Starring Kavin and Aparna Das in the lead roles, the film tells the story of Manikandan, a careless college student who is forced to raise his child Adithya alone after his girlfriend Sindhu leaves him.

Kavin delivers a mature performance that shows how well he has grown as an actor. His chemistry with Aparna Das is also commendable. The film takes a responsible approach to Sindhu's decisions and avoids making her the villain. The supporting cast, including VTV Ganesh, Pradeep Antony, and Harish Kumar, also impress with their performances.

The film's technical crew, comprising first-timers, does an excellent job. Jen Martin's background score is top-notch, and Ezhil Arasu's cinematography elevates the film in many places. The songs are also pleasant to hear, but their placement could have been better.

While the initial portions of the first half may be a little slow, the film picks up in the second half as Manikandan's teammates in the office offer proper support to Kavin. The humour also works out wonderfully in many places, making the film an enjoyable watch.

Overall, Dada is a harmless watch for the weekend that has its heart in the right place. Despite some engagement issues, the film manages to entertain with its feel-good story and impressive performances.
